An Anthology and Approach to Ear Training

Developing the musical ear is an essential part of training professional musicians.This book teaches students how to analyze melodic and rhythmic sounds and reproduce them through performance (singing or hand clapping) and written notation. It uses an approach based on "catchy" tunes-melodies that easily stick in the mind-to help learners grasp the fundamental elements of melody and rhythm.
