ADVENTURES AT SCHOOL

In that last year at Prep school in Shimla, there were four of uswho were close friends [...] We called ourselves the "Four Feathers", thefeathers signifying that we were companions in adventure, comrades-in-arms andknights of the round table.

Schooldays play a major role in shaping who we are; our friends and teachers atschool are the family we personally handpick. Not only does school teach usorder, discipline and the importance of academic learning, it also gives us thepriceless gifts of friendship, teamwork and goodness. Many of us, at times, mayeven struggle to remember the most obvious details of our everyday routines, howeverwe, so fondly and effortlessly, hold onto our sometimes vivid, sometimes blurrymemories of school life.

Ruskin Bonds Adventuresat School presents mischievous adventurous as well as thrilling schoolexperiences we can all identify with and relish. Some of these stories aresprinkled with innocent dreams, comical instances and heart-warming companionships, while others contain the authors personalanecdotes as he recalls the carefree times of his own childhood.
