A GUIDE TO SPEAKING SKILLS IN ENGLISH

This book is an outcome of an in-depth field research in the State of Odisha, India relating to the problems associated with the English speaking skills of the learners in Odia medium schools. The book comprehensively deals with the problems of segmental and suprasegmental, morphophonemics, and fluency features of English speaking skills in Odisha on the basis of data obtained adopting the linguistic and applied linguistic research methods. It also deals with psychological, socio-cultural and pedagogical factors in the research process. Finally, it gives a set of viable recommendations for the improvement of English speaking skills of the Odishan speakers of English.
