Christopher Birch is the founder of Birch Marine Inc., a boat maintenance, and repair business in Boston. During his 37-year career in that shop, Chris shepherded thousands of boats, and their owners, thru the four seasons of boat maintenance.

Chris has accumulated over 120,000 lifetime sea miles logged as captain. An award-winning author, he has written extensively in the boating press and currently serves as a contributing editor at SAIL Magazine.

This is the maintenance manual that should have come with the boat but didnt.

A wise old salt once said, "Take care of your boat, and she will take care of you."
