The Czech Revolution of 1848

This is the first account in English of the revolutionary movement of 1848 in the Czech lands of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia; it is also the first in any language to cover the entire period of turmoil from the outbreak of the revolt in March 1848 to its final suppression during the summer of 1849. The authors treatment is lucid and eminently readable, rich in new information, and carefully balanced in its interpretations.
