About this Product
Life is full of surprises. But perhaps this is never truer than when seemingly ordinary people act in extraordinary ways. Why does a happily married, middle-aged businessman end up in the middle of a wood, at night, shivering and naked? Why is a quiet, frail old lady plotting to bump off her best friends beloved pet pooch? And why is a young girl left lying unconscious among a pile of table tennis trophies? Greed, resentment, jealousy and desperation are laid bare as the characters in Jacqueline Fortescues collection of short stories find themselves caught up in a sequence of entirely unpredictable events that swiftly twist out of control, leading to revenge, robbery and even murder. Jacqueline Fortescue was born in 1950, in Great Yarmouth where she still lives with her second husband Colin. She has two children and three grandchildren and dotes on her two cats. Before turning to short stories, Jacqueline has written and had published several poems.
