The Trip of a Lifetime

When author Ginny Brookss grandson, Andrew, told her he was getting married in Santa Rosa, California, she and her husband, Phil, werent sure theyd be able to attend. They lived in Reidsville, North Carolina, and Ginny didnt fly. Then they decided to make an adventure out of the road trip. In The Trip of a Lifetime, Brooks presents a journal of their trip across the United States. She shares their memories of that journey, recalling both the fun and not-so-fun aspects. She also lists tips for those seeking to make a similar trek, including ideas she used to save money, tips for packing a car, and knowledge needed for trip preparations. With the guidance Brooks offers, you can get the most out of the things youll see and the way you travel, making any trip a truly memorable experience. This travelogue describes one couples trip across the United States, from North Carolina to California and back, and provides a guide for other travelers.
