The Roots of Power: Jarvis Landing

Mysterious murders, organized crime, swept up cases: "Jarvis Landing" is a suspenseful thriller surrounding the venomous power greed can have on the psyche. H. Dean Baugh, author of the against-all-odds-saga "The McArdel Diary: Saga of an Irish American" has now published the first book of the "The Roots of Power" cycle, "Jarvis Landing". The peaceful area surrounding Ft. Smith, Arkansas, seems the last place to expect anything but friendly southern charm. But, to Jarvis Jenkins, charm gets you nowhere if you dont have money. Money made him a somebody. Money got him respect. He didnt care where the money came from, as long as he got it. The night he met up with Tony Foncilio was the first day of the rest of his life. The dream, Jarvis Landing, became real along a quiet bend in the Arkansas River, somewhere between Ft. Smith and Barling. So real that Jarvis didnt realize the dream was a nightmare until it was too late: "Only one side of her face was recognizable, but it was enough. The detective had not lied. She was dead!"
