The Lafayette Flying Corps - Volume 1 (WWI Centenary Series)

"It seemed necessary that some record of the accomplishment of the Lafayette Corps be set down, not only for the pleasure of the men who were a part of it, but the others in later days might not forget these volunteers who were among the first Americans to go to the aid of France at a time of great need." This book is part of the World War One Centenary series; creating, collating and reprinting new and old works of poetry, fiction, autobiography and analysis. The series forms a commemorative tribute to mark the passing of one of the worlds bloodiest wars, offering new perspectives on this tragic yet fascinating period of human history. Each publication also includes brand new introductory essays and a timeline to help the reader place the work in its historical context.
