The Cry of the Kestrel

Island of Forgotten Fire: Book 1 - The Cry of the Kestrel
by Brinda Phokeerdass

On the ancient island of Mauritius, where spirits sleep beneath stone circles and forgotten flames stir beneath the earth, sixteen-year-old Anayas quiet life is shattered when she awakens powers tied to the islands primal heart. Chosen by the restless winds and ancient guardians, she must embark on a perilous quest across jungles, mountains, and storm-lashed shores to unite sacred relics before a dark force claims them.

But Kael Morven, an exiled ranger turned warlord, has his own vision for the islands future - one forged in fire and ash. As his army marches and old wards fail, Anaya and her friends are drawn into a battle not just for their home, but for the soul of Mauritius itself.

With ancient powers rising, loyalties tested, and the islands fate hanging in the balance, Anaya must find the strength to face the storm - or see her world burn.

The cry has been heard. The island will awaken. And nothing will ever be the same.
