Based on five major journals published between January 2002 and September 2011 related to computer based play in children with profound multiple disabilities, it sets out to describe internet use in assisting or enabling learning and social interaction. Design/Methodology - The review was restricted to identification of the systems involved, identification of the experimental group, literature overview, identification of the type of psychological approach and conclusion. Findings - Interactive computer play is a promising tool for assisting children with disabilities in aspects of social interaction, education and rehabilitation process but the level of evidence is limited at the time.
