Sorry

From the search for a Canadian hero to a heart-wrenching immigration tale, with a whole lot of hockey in between, this short story collection is Sorry, Not Sorry: an unapologetic celebration of Canadian life through story. In a heart-warming mix of fiction and creative nonfiction from 16 Canadian writers, readers are taken on a journey through Canadian life:

We search for a Canadian hero

we hear of a lady who meets her hockey hero

we meet a guy whose passion for hockey makes him a hero to a kid

we meet a group with passion for history

we meet a singer whose passion for music is a dream

we meet a kid whose dream and obsession is to play hockey,

we meet older women whose obsession is a young man on Tiktok

we meet a fascinating old codger

and then a few more fascinating folks who made things happen

we meet some fascinated kids

we meet kids who stand up for their rights

we meet a woman who is thankful for the right to choose whether to have a baby

we meet an exhausted man with a baby

we meet a blended family

we meet a found family of new Canadians

and finally we experience the poignant journey to a new country.
