Our Side of the River: The Real Deal

Students from Benton Harbor Area Schools share reflections about their experience of growing up in Benton Harbor and their sense of belonging at school and in the community. Through poetry and narrative essays, readers will hear the real deal, writing that addresses media perceptions and those in the neighboring town, St. Josephs, across the river.
