Lurking on the Tightrope: Mystery at Diamond Head

Intrigue lurks everywhere -- even at Diamond Head, one of the worlds most beautiful places.

Ten talented people dedicated to the preservation of the Hawaiian Islands gather on the summit of the volcanic crater in Oahu for a filmmaking project. But two of the men suddenly vanish after they clash on the clifftop.

Due to highly suspicious past events, sleuth Pari Malik fears the worst. One of the men, the benevolent leader of a historic nature reserve, had been blindsided and stabbed in the neck a year ago. The other man, a womanizing scoundrel who was once one of the reserves groundskeepers, had been a prime suspect in the attempted murder.

While investigating the disappearances, Pari, a keen observer, uncovers a plethora of secrets and hidden agendas. And solving the mysteries may require her to discover complexities about herself and unravel the deepest enigma from her own past.

"Lurking on the Tightrope" is Van Argans mesmerizing debut novel, full of surprising twists and suspense. It is the first book in the Pari Malik mystery series and can be read as a stand-alone story.
