In Defense Of Worms And Other Angling Heresies

This early work is a collection of familiar essays written in a relaxed and graceful style by an expert angler. His tales of adventure on lake and stream will reward philosophers with thought, and naturalists with beauty. Thoroughly recommended for inclusion on the bookshelf of any fishing enthusiast or historian. Contents Include: The Brotherhood of Peter; Trout and the Old Gentleman; The purist and the Dub; In Defense of Worms; The Supercilious Salmon; Heart or Belly; Men I Wont Fish With; Worse and Less of It; Water-Borne; and Rivers. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
