I Have to Poop

Create your own version of love and happiness with the help of one womans enlightening relationship journey.

Jessica Riggins first love was her high school sweetheart, but when that relationship ended, the hunt for a new one began. Driven by societys standards, Riggin just wanted to fit in. It seemed as if everyone around her had found the answer to love and happiness, but the pressure to settle down only drove her further away from a meaningful partner.

In I Have to Poop, but Theres a Boy in My Bed, Riggin humorously performs a postmortem on her past relationships and why they never seemed to work. But after the realization she was trying to align herself to societys definition of what a relationship should look like, she stopped trying to fit a square peg into a round hole and no longer worried about a timeline for marriage. And with her newfound freedom, she discovered just how much more there was to life than just finding a partner who fit the bill. As she evolved and relationships followed, she dug deeper, uncovering her own views, goals, and dreams for the future. And in the end, not only did she find a meaningful relationship with her husband but also a radical new outlook on how to find love.

Through Riggins amusing and relatable stories, readers are reminded that there is no one right way to find love. As she evolved, she learned how to stop relying on others, making it easier to overcome the challenges of failed relationships. An empowering how-to on self-love, the book invites lovelorn readers to embark on their own journey of self-discovery.
