End of Economic Man: Principles of Any Future Economics

This book challenges the traditional "law" of supply and demand, shows how hunger for capital gains starves the producing economy, demonstrates that the Bankers COLA (or interest premium to "protect" them from inflation) costs the economy more than $500 billion a year and is the principal <em>cause</em> of inflation, refutes the barbarous hypothesis of a "natural rate of unemployment," exposes laughable inconsistencies in the contemporaneous notion of labor productivity, and explains the changes in the meanings of property and of money that are ushering in the twenty-first century. All the foregoing (and more) is in the interest of establishing an economics in which men and women are not pawns moved about by Adam Smiths invisible hand (or perhaps by some analog to classical mechanics or zoology) but free human beings who are responsible for their actions and can find therein foundations of mores, morals, and morale.
