About this Product
You like go paradise? Theyre welcome words from any woman... But Da is not just any woman chatting up a westerner - an Aussie engineer called Jim - in a Cambodian disco. Da has ghosts from the past, demons from the era of the Khmer Rouge, and they haunt her and Jim as he struggles to balance two cultures, two families and two areas of commitment. Jims determination and love for Da keep him going, but is his business in Cambodia the sensible pursuit of a dream, or a controlled path to penury? Can he erase the bad Karma of the past, and control the mercurial side of his beautiful girlfriend? Read about Da and her story - cleverly presented by author Dan Rogers from two points of view - and find out how two very different people from very different cultures meet, meld and put their demons to rest. Dan Rogers has studied extensively the history and culture of Cambodia after a lifetime in the construction industry. This interest has been motivated by the necessity for Australia, essentially European in culture and ethnicity, becoming more integrated with its Asian and South Sea Island neighbours.
