About this Product
A couple cheat a friend out of her property but find themselves beset by disasters, which only cease when they own up to their wrongdoing... A wife is so intent on enjoying herself that she neglects her husband and daughter until the daughter finally shames her into an awareness of her faults... A man is cursed when his lies send an innocent man to prison, but the curse is finally lifted at the last minute when he tells the truth... Another man receives the gift of foresight from a magical basil plant in his garden, only to lose the gift when he reveals his secret to a friend. Charming, uplifting and beautifully written, most of these stories share the theme of morality triumphing over immorality, while others hint at mysterious forces shaping our world in the constant battle between good and evil.
