This volume contains all contributed papers accepted for presentation at theworkshop, togetherwithinvitedlecturesbyJosepD az(UPCBarcelona), AlanM. Frieze(CarnegieMellonU. ), MichaelLuby(ICSIBerkeley), andEmo Welzl(ETHZuric ] h). Thecontributedpaperswereselectedoutofseveraldozen submissions received in response to the call for papers.
