Fat Jack Had a Heart Attack and Now Hes Cookin Lean!

In February of 2005 John "Fat Jack" White was sailing along pretty well. Publishing the odd recipe in the Pine River Times of Bayfield, Colorado he had a cookbook about ready to go to print. Then at his sons basketball game he felt odd. Next morning he found out hed been having a heart attack and after some quality time on the operating table and in ICU the Docs said "Change yo ways, Sinner!" So in the interest of continued living he set about changing everything he knew about cooking in the vein (pun intended) of low fat/low salt so we can all eat really well without falling over dead. Theres over 30 recipes here and they all taste great, have even been kid tested, approved and eaten with relish. Or sometimes ketchup. Maybe the best part is the irreverent sense of humor that bubbles up in each recipe with a story of how each recipe came to be or some sage advice on fine livin. Great taste, healthy eatin, lots of fun and no more heart attacks! What could beat that?
