Once again, dear mortal, we dance within your mind. This twisted tome seduces as faction fools unwind. Upon an island, Jolm, a princess could not conceive; Some factions now are jostling, the Royal power to thieve. The Kasgar are the engineers - they wish to make a claim; The Boldar are the merchants - with money they would maim; The Gleur do choose emotions to spread with stylish patter; The Relka are the influencers - they are the ones that matter. A Bard is here, hard working, to earn his needy coin. The Ocressa priests are septic - they make the moral join. All factions seeking power do chase corrupting beat. Enjoy this realm of oddness before your end you greet. S G Danns second journey into the medieval world of Fendarro charts the intrigues and conspiracies of the merchants, engineers, bohemian artists and royal ruling class that reside on the island of Jolm, off the Fendarro mainland. Caught up in the sinister plotting is the Bard, a singer of songs who wishes merely to make a living through his playing but finds himself on trial for his life as events spin beyond his control. With the pursuit of power motivating the events that occur in Defender of The Crown, Dann explores the effects of ambition on the soul and upon society.
