Decision Making Style &Achievement Zoology Among High School Students

The research titled "Decision Making Style and Achievement in Zoology Among Higher Secondary Students" investigates the correlation between decision-making styles and academic achievement in zoology among students in higher secondary schools in Madurai district, Tamil Nadu. Conducted as part of a Master of Philosophy in Education program, this descriptive and normative study surveyed a sample of 355 students. It analyzed variables such as gender, medium of instruction, school locality, school type, management, number of intimate friends, and residency status.Key objectives included measuring students decision-making styles, assessing zoology achievement levels, and exploring significant differences based on the independent variables. The study utilized a Decision-Making Style Inventory standardized by Rajaram (2009), alongside students zoology examination marks for assessment.The findings highlight significant gender and demographic influences on decision-making styles and achievement. The results emphasize the necessity for tailored educational strategies to enhance decision-making and academic performance & students in making informed decisions and achieving academic success.
