Catharsis: A collection of 21 poems

Catharsis is a collection of 21 poems that was born in March 2023 alongside the authors son. After a scary and nearly tragic birth experience, Danny E. Smith turned to poetic expression for comfort and emotional release. This collection of work depicts the racing thoughts and anxieties Danny experienced; explores symbols of death, fear, faith and release; and resolves a narrative of darkness shes battled for nearly two decades.
