The Ferrari SF21 single-seater is based on the previous SF1000 model. The changes took place mainly in the rear part of the vehicle, creating a new suspension and gearbox. This, along with the work done on the engine, allowed them to have a much narrower rear end. They also redesigned the cooling system. Changes also took place in the front part. A new front wing was developed with a new nose, but the chassis and suspension remained the same as the SF1000. Mattia Binotto said that the new engine performs well compared to last year and that its performance has improved "a lot".
