"We should feel a real friendship for each other of the contesting powers and a real desire to work so as to secure justice for each." Theodore Roosevelts influence on American politics remains unbroken, even after finishing his term of office as the 26th President of the United States. In this volume, first published in 1915, he comments on the USs belated entry into the First World War, delivers a manifesto against keeping neutrality and criticizes the acting President Wilson and his foreign policy. He tries to answer the question of moral, ethical and practical reasons for the USs entry into the First World War - not only to give a precise evaluation of American politics, but also to legitimize his continuing political influence
