A Mile in My Paws: Inspired by a True Story

Although Maisie has a home with loving and caring humans, she longs for a different life. She dreams of running free, hunting for food with a pack of other dogs, and howling at the moon. She craves the adventures of living life on the open road. She plans her escape and in her spare time in the backyard, Maisie digs a tunnel under the fence. When Snickers, a stray cairn terrier joins the family, he wonders why Maisie wants to leave her safe home. He tells Maisie-from his firsthand experience-that life on the street is rough, tough, and lonely. "A Mile in my Paws captures the spirit of rescue work with an engaging narrative and whimsical illustrations. What a wonderful way to introduce a younger audience to the concept of pet adoption. A thoroughly charming read from start to finish!" - Shell Lewis, Midwest Adoptions Director, Cairn Rescue USA
