Priorto ASU he was Director of the Center for Research in Water Resourcesat the University of Texas at Austin, where he held an EngineeringFoundation-endowed professorship. A registered professional engineerin several states, and a registered professional hydrologist, he hasserved as a consultant to many national and international Organizations.Professor Mays has published extensively in refereed journal publicationsand in the proceedings of national and international conferences.
